The Frazier Farmstead- our family blog!
As we settle into the first week of 2011, it seemed ideal timing for launching our new blog. In fact, beginning this blog was my New Year’s resolution for 2011 (thanks to my dear friend, Valerie, for her inspiration!). I’m so excited to have this tool for capturing and documenting our family memories. If you’d like to take a peek at what’s going on in our lives, stop by and visit us at The Frazier Farmstead! I don’t expect that the content will always be thrilling for everyone, but it will be a special way to journal our experiences. We hope to have a complete album of memories each year upon which we can reflect and remember the many moments that seem to escape us so quickly.
Okay… so, the blog name. Where did it come from? As I racked my brain to think of a name for our family blog, I wanted something that would feel like home, represent our love for animals (and people too), and really welcome people to join us on this electronic journaling expedition. When my mom mentioned the word “Farmstead,” it just felt right. In the time I have known Brian (since early 2003), he has always talked of moving to the country and becoming a farm boy… and assuming all the roles and responsibilities that farm life have to offer. Given that this dream of his will probably not be fulfilled anytime in the near future (if ever), I figured I might be able to contribute to his dream in a small way through our blog title. And there you have it… The Frazier Farmstead.

Josh and Brian can live on the farm together...in a big log cabin with a stone fireplace, where they can look out the window and see their fishing pond with horses drinking out of it. Then they can both have their dream life and you and I can live together in the 'burbs :)
